    $3.00

    Brassica oleracea

    Min Qty: 4 g

Description:  Introduced in the early 1950s, very dependable cool weather broccoli with  dark green, nearly blue color, medium sized heads with no side shoots and full of flavor.

Planting Instructions:   80 days.   Start plants indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost. Sow 1/4" deep in a starting mix.  Keep evenly moist until germination.  Provide plenty of light after the seedlings emerge. Transplant outdoors after danger of frost, spacing the plants 12-15" apart in rows 18-36" apart in rich, well-prepared soil.  Prefers long, cool summers.  Heavy feeders, so fertilize well, and keep well-irrigated, especially during dry spells.  Does not tolerate heat well.  Plant early-summer for a fall harvest.
