With leaves this large, you'll find many uses for this monster! Milder than other basils, this one makes an excellent addition to salads. Or uses them like you would grape leaves, stuff and bake them for a unique culinary delight.
Growing information: 70 days. Start seeds indoors 6 weeks before the last frost. Transplant seedlings into well-drained soil 10-12" apart after danger of frost has passed in a location that will provide a minimum of 6-8 hours of sunlight daily. Direct plant seeds 1/4" deep after the last frost date, the soil should be at least 70ºF/21ºC. Gets along well with tomatoes. Great for container gardening. Harvest frequently to encourage more growth and larger overall yields. Pinch directly above where a pair of leaves are growing; two stems will result. Pinch any flowers.
