Lavender

$3.00

Lavandula intermedia

Lavender is an old world ornamental related to mint, its flowers are used in salads, soups, teas as well as potpourri and sachets.  Perennial in zones 5-9.

Growing information: Lavender takes its time germinating, so start indoors 6-12 weeks before the last frost.  Sow seeds in a fine seed starting mixture or fine vermiculite with a light layer of soil on top.  Keep on a heating mat or in a warm location and keep moist.  Transplant seedlings once the soil warms, in a location with full sun and good drainage.  Does not do well in locations that are overly moist.  Growth isn't impressive the first year. In colder climates, bring indoors during winter.

Min qty/packet: 100 seeds
