Description: Stable, open-pollinated cross between King Richard and Siegfried from grower Beth Rathgorshek of Idaho. Boasts large edible area, with short, thick body 3"x6" that is a good choice for overwintering.
Planting Instructions: 84 days. Start seeds indoors in late February or March by planting 1/2" deep in a good starting mixture for transplant later into well-prepared soil as soon as it can be worked. Set plants 6-12" apart in a location with full sun and good drainage and plenty of compost. Keep well watered during growing season. Harvest before frost and heel in soil in your root celler to keep them nearly all winter.
