    Description:  Long time favorite, known for its nutty, sweet flavor on 12" thin roots. Sugar content rises after several fall frosts.

    Planting Instructions:   120 days.  As soon as the soil can be worked, direct sow seeds 1/2" deep 1/2-1" apart in rows 12-18" apart in well-prepared, deep beds in a location with full sun.  Keep moist until seedlings emerge in 14-21 days.  Thin plants to 3-4" apart and keep well irrigated throughout growing season. Harvest after fall frost but before the ground freezes.
