Description:  1879 Heirloom, a Southern tradition with distinctive deep blue-green leaves that are tender. Plants grow to 2' and are slow to bolt in heat.

Planting Instructions:   75 days.  Start seeds 1/4" deep indoors 4-5 weeks before transplant outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked and plants have been hardened off.  Alternately, sow seeds directly in early spring in well-prepared soil in a location that receives full sun. Thin plants to 18" apart. Can be harvested throughout season to encourage growth.
