Description:  Versatile and hardy herb. In use in Europe for thousands of years for its culinary and medicinal properties.  Cultivated since the Middle Ages. Great on potatoes, in soups or salads.  Edible flowers are spicy additions to salads or use them to color and flavor vinegars.

Planting Instructions:   80 days.  Hardy in zones 3-10. Start indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost or outdoors after danger of frost has passed.  Sow seeds thinly in a well-prepared seedbed, covering them lightly.  Prefers full sun but will tolerate partial shade.  Thin seedlings 12'-18" apart.  Regular cutting encourages spreading and to produce tender shoots.  Plants can be divided every 3-5 years.
