Description: Also known as purple coneflower, this adaptable flower is tolerant of heat and drought and poor soil and is loved by butterflies and bees alike. Grows to 2' with downward facing petals that bloom in late summer. Widely used as a immune system stimulant.
Planting Instructions: Direct sow the seeds 1/4" deep in a prepared bed in the early to mid-spring after danger of frost has passed. Choose a location that has rich, well-drained soil and gets full sun. Keep evenly moist until seedlings emerge. Thin to 1 foot spacing after the second set of leaves has formed.
