Description:  1892 Heirloom and still the standard by which other beets are measured.  Full of color and flavor, enjoy the roots and as well as the greens.

Planting Instructions:   60 days.  After the danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed up, direct seed 1/4" deep in rich, moist soil with good drainage in a location with full sun. Thin seedlings to 6" apart when they're 3-4" tall. Plant every 2-3 weeks for a continuous harvest. In zones 8+, plant in fall. Beets prefer cool temps.
