Description: Shaped like an old fashioned canteen, originally from the American Southwest . About a million uses, from containers to crafting! Very long vines, up to 35' can be trellised with very sturdy support.
Planting Instructions: 125 days. Scarify and soak seeds overnight prior to sowing. After danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed up, sow seeds 1" deep, in loose, rich soil. If you are planting in rows, plant seeds 4-6" apart in rows 12' apart. If you are planting in hills, plant 3-4 seeds in a ring around the top of the hill, spacing your hills about 9' apart. In cooler climates, you'll have to start these indoors 3-4 weeks before last frost date. Plant with corn and pole beans, about 2 weeks after the corn is sown.
