Description: 1902 Heirloom, Black Beauty produces large, 1-3 pound egg-shaped, dark black fruit. Excellent early variety. Heat loving plant.

Planting Instructions: 80 days. Start seeds indoors 6 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds 1/4" deep in flats or pots and keep evenly moist until germination, about 1-2 weeks. Provide plenty of sunlight or artificial light to prevent seedlings from becoming spindly. Transplant outdoors after danger of frost has passed and soil temps are at least 60 F. Transplant after hardening the seedlings off, in a location with fertile, well-drained soil that gets full sun. Space plants 18-24" apart. Provide even moisture during growing season.
