    Brassica alba

    Min Qty: 1 g

Description:  The variety best known to American hot dogs, the plants are easy to grow in average soil conditions.  Not typically grown for their greens.

Planting Instructions:   70-85 days.  Sow seeds 1/8" deep in rows 15-18" apart about 2-3 weeks before the date of the last frost.  Thin seedlings to about 12" apart.  Requires very little maintenance throughout the growing season, but regular feeding increases seed yields.  Harvest as soon as the pods begin to turn brown and the leaves start to turn yellow.  Place the flower heads in a paper bag to allow them to complete drying; they'll burst open when fully ripe.   Give the bag a shake to free up any remaining seeds.
