    Description: Classic winter squash with sweet, delicious orange flesh that stores well. 8-10" fruit that weigh 4-5 lbs each. Each plant yields 4-5 fruit. Full of flavor baked or in a soup.

    Planting Instructions: 100 days. In late spring, sow seeds 1" deep, in loose, rich soil. If you are planting in rows, plant seeds 4-6" apart in rows 6' apart. Thin seedlings to one plant every 24-36". If you are planting in hills, plant 3-4 seeds in a ring around the top of the hill, spacing your hills about 3' apart. Plant with corn and pole beans, about 2 weeks after the corn is sown. Squash are generally heavy feeders, so fertilize as they grow to improve your harvest.
