Description: Grown as an annual in cooler climates, but hardy down to about zone 5. Plants grow to 1' high with grey-green leaves and a sweet fragrance. Use fresh or dried for meats, beans, soups and dressing . Originated in the Mediterranean and was in use by the Ancient Greeks and Romans.
Planting Instructions: 80-90 days. Start indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds 1/4" deep in loose soil. Keep soil moist until seedling emerge, in 14-21 days. Provide plenty of light. Transplant after seedlings have at least two pair of leaves into a sunny location after hardening off for a week. Alternately, direct seed in average soil after the danger of frost has passed. Cut frequently to prevent flowering.
