Pisum sativum
Min Qty: 60 Seeds
Description: Smaller version of a Sugar snap, provides resistance to powdery mildew. Earlier crop with a shorter, heavier harvest period than Sugar Snap. Vines grow to about 5' and require trellis or support. Delicious in stir fry, steamed or raw.
Planting Instructions: 70 days. Sow seeds as early as the ground can be worked. Plant 8-10 seeds per foot 1" deep on each side of a support in double rows about 6" apart. Space each set of rows 24-36" apart. Thin seedlings to 4-6" apart. Peas prefer cool weather. Start a second crop in late summer for a fall harvest, but an early frost will stop production of flowers and pods. For best results, put trellis support in when planting.
