Min Qty: 2 g

Description:  Heirloom from the late 1800's.  Good storage cabbage, with large heads, 5-8 pounds each and 8-10" across with reddish-purple leaves.  Excellent addition to slaw, salad, stir fried or use for a delicious sauerkraut.

Planting Instructions:   90-100 days. Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow 1/4-1/2" deep into a starting mix.  Keep evenly moist until germination.  Provide plenty of light after the seedlings emerge.  Transplant into well-worked soil after the danger of frost has passed.  Space plants about 15-18" apart in rows 24-36" apart in a location that gets plenty of sun.  Mulch around plants to retain moisture and even out temperature extremes.
