Description: Common addition to many dishes, from chili to Southern Red Beans and Rice. Bushy plant are loaded with pods that hold up to 10 beans each, providing an abundant crop. Do not eat raw beans. Presoak dried beans and boil at least 30 minutes.

Planting Instructions: 95-100 days. Plant seeds 1" deep 2-3" apart in well-drained soil after the danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed. Plant in a sunny location in rows 24-36" apart. Thin seedlings to 4-6". Do not overwater. Let beans fully dry for harvest. If a frost is expected, pull up the whole plant, roots and all, and hang it upside down to allow the drying process to continue. They're good and dry when the beans rattle inside the pods. Do not plant beans in the same spot more than once every 4 years. Does well interplanted with corn, cucumber, squash, pumpkin, but avoid interplanting with onions or fennel.
