$3.00

Lycopersicon esculentum

Min Qty: 1 g

Description: The slicing tomato. Fruits up to 2 pounds on large open-pollinated indeterminate plants with vines that will need to be staked to hold up these monsters. Excellent in a salad or on your favorite burger.

Planting Instructions: 85 days. Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Plant seeds in flats or peat pots 1/4-1/2" deep in a sterile potting mix. Keep warm, above 70F and evenly moist until germination in 7-10 days. Transplant outdoors 3-4' apart after the danger of frost has passed and plants are hardened off. Choose a location with rich, fertile, well-drained soil with plenty of sun. Tomatoes can be buried deep, up their stems, where they'll grow additional roots. Prefers even watering. Plants grow to 3-4' high.
