Abelmoschus esculentus
Min Qty: 3g
Description: Fat juicy pods from a heat loving plant. Drought tolerant.
Planting Instructions: 85 days. In cooler areas, start indoors 2-3 weeks before last frost. Plant 1/4" deep and keep soil moist until germination. Transplant seedlings 12" apart into well-drained, fertile soil that has been worked down at least 10" and has warmed. Okra needs warm days, over 80F with soil temps over 70F for a good crop. Consider covering soil with plastic sheeting prior to transplant to heat the soil and hoop houses to maintain warmer temps. Harvest pods when they are young and tender.
