Description: Spicy addition to your salad, and the variety typically found in restaurants and grocery stores. Easy to grow with good heat and cold tolerance. Harvest entire plant or individual leaves.

Planting Instructions: 40 days. Can be started indoors in cooler climates 4-6 weeks before last frost or outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked. Sprinkle seeds onto prepared beds or rows and cover with a layer of soil. Choose a location that gets full sun to partial shade in soil that is rich and well-drained. Keep evenly moist until seedlings emerge, ususally within a week or two. Thin seedlings or transplant from indoors to 8" apart when they a few sets of true leaves. Requires even mositure during the growing season and good nitrogen fertilizer. Sow in mid-summer for a fall crop.
