How We Got Started

We got started over a kitchen table with a lot of seeds, packing supplies and equipment and 3 helpful rabbits to keep us distracted.  We wanted to start something that would help people take better control of what they eat.  Our goal is simple: provide the best quality heirloom and open-pollinated seeds available along with the information to help people take back control of their food.  We are committed to building local robust sustainability.

Now in our 5th year, we're in a larger location and continuing to grow.  We offer close to 200 varieties of vegetables, herbs and flowers and are always on the lookout for new and interesting additions. I believe we're the only seed company in America that is 100% solar, as we added 33 panels to the roof along with some recycled Edison cell batteries for backup.  Thank you to everyone who bought seeds, helped us grow and gave us encouragement and feedback.  We keep learning and exploring and loving the ride!
